Fix It Right Plumbing and Heating Workmanship Policy

Fix It Right Plumbing and Heating offers a one-year workmanship warranty on all service call repairs and installation.  Exclusions of the one-year workmanship warranty (as stated on all invoices for these services) include hose bibb repair or installation, drain/sewer cleaning, and any/all customer-provided equipment.

If you feel there is a possible issue with any of the work Fix It Right Plumbing and Heating performed, and it is within one year of the invoice date, please do not hesitate to contact the office immediately so we can schedule a time to come out and troubleshoot the problem for you.

If the issue is related to our repair or installation, we will make the necessary repair at no cost to the homeowner.  However; if an issue presents itself and is in no way related to the repair or installation we performed, you would be charged for troubleshooting and/or the repair visit.  (Overtime charges apply if service is outside of our regular service hours.)

Please note:  If a manufactured part is defective, the repair and/or replacement would be that of the manufacturer’s warranty. Please note: in most cases labour to remove and replace the defective part is not covered by the manufacturer warranty (very limited exceptions apply) and would be the responsibility of the homeowner.

This warranty will be considered null and void in the following circumstances:

  • If you do not permit Fix It Right Plumbing and Heating to return and inspect the issue to troubleshoot the problem first. If you have taken it upon yourself to hire another company or asked a family member, friend, or acquaintance to troubleshoot and provide a diagnosis before allowing us to return to inspect the issue, the warranty will be null and void.
  • If you have waited more than 72 hours to notify us of a possible problem with our workmanship. We require that the customer make us aware of any possible issues as soon as possible once discovered in order to minimize the impact of the issue. If a customer does not notify Fix It Right Plumbing and Heating within 72 hours of becoming aware of a possible warranty-related issue, our workmanship warranty will be considered null and void. We have chosen 72 hours as this aligns with the maximum time most home insurance policies allow your home to go unchecked when vacant (if it is unoccupied, if you are on vacation, etc.).
